It's official - St.
Patrick's has a new home!

Contracts have been signed on our new property at the intersection of
Cleveland Ave. and Klondyke Rd. The Rev. David Knight made the long
anticipated announcement during Sunday services on April 22. Following
the service, Architects Allison and John Anderson and Mark Ripple, of
Eskew+Dumez+Ripple
Unabridged Architecture, held
their second meeting with the congregation to create the Master Site
Plan. A third meeting to present the proposed plan will follow the
10:00 am service on May 20.
The approximately 14 acres of property is located in Long Beach, seven
blocks east and several blocks north of our old location. The new
property is several blocks north of the railroad tracks and adjacent to
the new site for the First Baptist Church. Long Beach Middle School and
Long Beach High School as well as two small shopping centers and
several churches are nearby. The property was purchased with
the
assistance and support of the Diocese of Mississippi.

Prayer for St. Patrick’s
O Lord God of Israel,
the heavens cannot contain you,
yet you are pleased to dwell in the midst of your people,
and have moved us to set apart a space on which to rebuild a house of
prayer.
Send us your Spirit,
that we may learn what you would have us do,
and the words and witness you would have us offer.
Guide us as we continue your work;
show us the field in which to plant,
that your Kingdom may come and your power be revealed in this community;
to the glory of your Name.
Amen.
